Filmoteka Muzeum

The performance Hommage a Solidarność was initially presented on the anniversary of Solidarność in a privately owned underground gallery in Łódź. Ewa Patrum repeated it a year later in the West Berlin Wewerka Gallery which simultaneously presented her retrospective exhibition. She was standing naked facing a paper cloth and marking it with consecutive letters of the word "Solidarność" ["Solidarity" - important Polish anti-comunist opposition movement] to commemorate the social movement which, in her opinion, was itself of an artistic nature to a considerable extent.

The work belongs to the collection of Signum Foundation in Poznań and Venice.
