The Way Things Dinge

Nagabczyńska makes an attempt to redefine subject ontology and define ontology of object and corporeality in confrontation with forces of coincidence and the performer’s intentional actions.

The starting point for her considerations is the canonic work of the Swiss artists Fischli & Weiss “The Way Things Go”. Her performance is a proposition to rethink the process of the dancer’s gesture materialisation and the experience of one’s own “self” in a confluence of conscious, intentional actions, as well as those coincidential, dictated by the laws of physics and material limits of the body.
