"DIARY OF AN APPROACH", published by Lars Harmsen, Markus Lange

Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and Element Talks invite you to the exhibition of silkscreen posters made by the artists from all over the world.

Poster Rex was founded by Markus Lange and Lars Harmsen (Slanted Publishers) back in 2014 after a silkscreen print workshop in Havanna in Cuba. In the following years they had a lot of print sessions in different print studios all over the world. For each session they invite an artist/designer to create unique posters to an specific topic in a experimental workshop format. All posters are printed by hand with Silkscreen or with other digital or analog techniques.

By now, their collection counts over 2.000 unique posters. They worked together with designers like Jiri Oplatek of Claudiabasel in Basel, Mirko Borsche in Munich, Frank Höhne in Leipzig, Edwin van Gelder of Mainstudio in Amsterdam, Peter Bankov in Moscow, Gregorz Laszuk in Warsaw and many more.

In their latest project they toured to Athens, Istanbul, Moscow and Kiev, to visit local designers and bring them together with designers from Poland. In these intense 2 weeks they visited 4 different cities and create in each city posters in local silkscreen workshops. After this tour they decided to freeze these intense weeks and impressions into a publication. These printed pages give a glimpse into the journey, meetings, working and sharing good times with local artists and poster designers from Poland.
