Filmoteka Muzeum

The film lays bare the absurdity of calls for bringing art closer to the society. Here, the dream of a great many of artists and curators comes true – the Jones’s in front of their TV are engaged in a passionate debate on serious artistic topics, while their kids make The Animal Pyramid of modelling clay, draw Black Square and yearn for the Lego set Concentration Camp.

The sense of detachment of the presented scene from reality triggers reflection on the autonomy of the art world and the sense of the pursuit of establishing contemporary art a household name. References: Abece Azorro, K. Gutfrański, J. Zielińska (eds.), Toruń 2010.
