  • 1st charity auction of contemporary art for Olaf

On June 9th, a charity auction will be held for Olaf Maj, organized in cooperation with the Desa Unicum Auction House.

More than 120 works by contemporary Polish artists will go under the hammer during the charity auction of works of art, to be held on June 9th 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Total revenue from the auction will be allocated towards the treatment and rehabilitation of the 16-year-old Olaf Maj, who is fighting with cancer. The event is co-organized by the Desa Unicum Auction House and will be conducted by Juliusz Windorbski.

The catalogue of the auction mainly includes paintings and graphic designs, but one can also find photography and sculpture. Among the artists whose works will be presented at the auction will be both well-known names (among others: Marta Frej, Joanna Sarapata, Kamil Sipowicz, Ivo Nikić, Viola Tycz, Maria Kiesner, Łukasz Huculak) and the ones representing the youngest generation (e.g. Alicja Pruchniewicz, Justyna Strąk, Berenika Kowalska). The starting price of each work is PLN 200.
