As part of the ongoing exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw "The Beguiling Siren is Thy Crest" the artist Tobias Kaspar presents his new performance entitled Cruise Capsule Collection, which draws upon upon hybrid forms of dress, cruise fashion and modes of identity creation via clothing.

The eponymous capsule collection is a collection developed by Kaspar consisting of items of clothing donated by Museum audience and staff. The artist reconfigured former clothes into new hybrids and invited teenagers from local dance schools to model them during the catwalk at the Museum seat. After the catwalk we invite you to a massive clothing swap and afterparty with a dj set bt Allon Kaye.

Tobias Kaspar

(1984, CH) is an artist based in Riga. Tobias Kaspar Jeans, the artists eponymous jeans line is being produced since 2012. He was co-editor of last falls MAY issue dedicated to fashion and is since 2009 co-publisher of PROVENCE - an eight-issue magazine dedicated to leisure. Last spring Tobias Kaspar staged the 24h exhibition The Street inside the Cinecittà Film Studios in Rome. The year before the artist opened in Berlin at Udolpho Toby’s Tristram Shandy Shop to sell first editions of Laurence Sterne’s The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman.
His artworks are often conceived as larger bodies of works and bare titles such as Lumpy Blue Sweater (2010), Bodies in the Backdrop (2012), The Bling Ring (2013), Friends, Lovers & Financiers (2014) and Two Cities - Two Lives (2015), The Street (2016). Tobias Kaspar work has been shown in institutions, including the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art, San Francisco (2015), Solo Shows, São Paulo (2015), CAFAM Biennale, Beijing (2014), Kunsthalle Wien (2014), Kunsthalle St. Gallen (2014), Midway Contemporary Art, Minneapolis (2013), Artists Space, New York (2013), Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2012), Kunsthalle Zürich (2011), Kunsthalle Basel (2011), Museum Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin (2011), Kunsthaus Bregenz (2011), Künstlerhaus Stuttgart (2010).
