Artist on the radar
Workshops for youth (aged 16-19)

  • Artist on the radar

Photography from Eustachy Kossakowski\'s Archive, 1966

Topic of the first meeting will focus on the artist.

The main hero of the meeting and the subject of critical analysis will be the artist himself/herself. Who is an artist today and what is their role in the creative process? What is their position in relation to a viewer and is their voice heard in the social debate? What is the difference between an artist and an artisan, what is “primitive art” and finally, can everyone become an artist? Referring to changes in the author’s status that have taken place over the centuries we’ll reflect on the artist's past and current situation.
