Performans

Description by Filmoteka Muzeum

Portret with a Curator is informed by the strong movement of institutional critique in Polish contemporary art. As you might expect from Azorro, they set their critical activities in a highly ironic mode.

The artists took a year to hang around exhibition openings and have photos of themselves taken with curators and art critics caught in passing, as if by chance. That they’re standing behind the artists bears testimony to their real but tacit power in the art world, and the impact they have on production and popularity of works of art.
