Konrad Smoleński is a musician, sculptor and author of sound installations. Representative of Poland during the 55 edition of La Biennale di Venezia. Together with Daniel Szwed he makes up the musical band under the name BNNT. In "Documentation of BNNT’s Activity", we can find a portrait of the provincial Poland which the artist confronts rather than tries to change. The work is a video installation presented in an original car, used by the band when on tours during which they would visit small towns. The work belongs to the most important realizations of the artists – a summary of their few years’ performative/musical project, in which it appeared in various places, surprising the unprepared public with experimental music and expressive performance, with elements of iconography of the underground culture. The installation has the form of a drive-through theatre, which is used to present documentation of the group’s performances.
