Łukasz Jastrubczak is a visual artist, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Almost from the beginning of his artistic activity, Jastrubczak has referred to the language of cinema and the possibilities offered by this form of expression. He attempts to translate the language of the fictional cinema into the non-cinematic reality. He stages situations with a cinematic background. He refers to numerous myths of avant-garde art, to its research on perception and to conceptual art. In 2013, he was recognised as the most interesting young artist, winning the first prize in the Spojrzenia contest.
