Laurel Nakadate (born 1975)
Laurel Nakadate is an American photographer and video artist who has also made two feature films. Her themes cover desire, corporality, temptation, the struggle for sexual power, and betrayal. She documents her personal experiences, as well as adventures she “directs”: meeting strangers in motels, having crying fits, or seeking out “prairie-style” architecture in the American wilderness.
