Filmoteka Muzeum

Conforming to the strategy characteristic of his earliest films, the artist turns his attention to the trivial and the obvious. Evoking the chill of a winter day and the act of warming the hands in the form of a simple and continuous footage of a specific fraction of time and space, the artist investigates the potential of the film to “realise meanings beyond the message” and creates a structure which does not transcend itself. Thus, he encourages the viewer to independently establish the syntactic relations within the film-sign.
