During the four seminal years in the communist Poland which witnessed the launch of the trade union Solidarity and the imposition of martial law Zygmunt Rytka was busy filming TV news broadcasts. The records were then merged into a stream of overlapping images with the aim of manifesting the powerful discourse of the communist mass media as well as deconstructing the persuasiveness of the propaganda.
