Praffdata celebrated Valentine’s Day at the Riviera-Remont Club (formely Remont) by organising the event “Pornostroika” on 14 February 1990, whose name was an altered version of the Russian word perestroika (Russian: перестройка – restructuring), a term habitually used with reference to the transformation of the socialist system in the USSR. Praffdata sought to restructure, or rather render more civilised, the Polish penitentiary system. The concert was held under the motto “Prisoners’ right to sex!”. The desired outcome of the event was to consist in introducing “soft” cells in prisons, that is spaces where inmates could hold private meetings with their partners.
