Ewa Zarzycka

Ewa Zarzycka studied at the State School of Fine Arts in Wrocław in 1973–1978. In the 1980s she
took part in the festival Nieme Kino [Silent Movie] in Łódź and the Biennale Nowej Sztuki [New Art Biennial] in Zielona Góra. In 1989 she was featured at the exhibition Lochy Manhattanu [The Dungeons of Manhattan] in Łódź, and in 1996 in the show Kobieta o kobiecie [Woman about a Woman] at the BWA Gallery in Bielsko-Biała. Zarzycka had solo exhibitions at the Labirynt Gallery in Lublin, Baltic Gallery of Art in Ustka, BWA Gallery in Zielona Góra and lokal_30 in Warsaw. She also participated in major performance art events, such as the Europejski Festiwal Sztuki Performance [European Performance Festival] at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, Międzynarodowy Festiwal Sztuki Akcji [International Performance Festival] in
Piotrków Trybunalski, Festiwal Sztuki Efemerycznej “Konteksty” [International Festival of Ephemeral Art] in Sokołowsko, Performance Platform in Lublin. Zarzycka’s works belong to the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw, Józef Robakowski’s Exchange Gallery, Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, Foundation Moje Archiwum of Andrzej Ciesielski and Zachęta in Lublin.
