Aleksandra Kubiak (born 1978)
Aleksandra Kubiak (born in 1978) – graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Zielona Góra (2004), where she also taught classes at the Institute of Visual Arts (2013 – 2015). As an artist, she employs video, object and performance art. From 2001 to 2013 Kubiak and Karolina Wiktor jointly formed the Chief Judge Group. Since 2012, she has been a PhD student at the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme, University of Arts in Poznań. Both her individual works and the ones she created as a member of Chief Judge Group were shown in Poland, at e.g. the National Museum, Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, and internationally – at a number of performance festivals and collective exhibitions, e.g. in London, Graz, Venice, Stockholm, Berlin, New York, Johannesburg. Aleksandra Kubiak collaborates with the Salony Foundation and BWA Gallery from Zielona Góra.
