WWB TV. A museum as an urban think tank?

The session concerns various institutional models of reaching audiences and maintaining dialogue with a variety of social groups.

We would also like to discuss the dynamics of collaboration between art institutions and their neighbours (during the WWB festival research was done regarding the reception of the activities of the Museum Of Modern Art in Warsaw amongst its neighbours living in the block of flats by PaƄska street). We are also interested in activities aiming at gaining new audiences for 'temporary museums', i.e. large art festivals such as Documenta or Biennale characterized by increasingly political and activist stance. We will discuss whether a „civic museum“ is possible.
