PRL™
Vernissage

People’s Republic of Poland (PRL) was a much appreciated brand in the times of the cold war – at least in some markets, such as the global market of intellectual work.

This was particularly true in case of architects, urban planners, and engineers, whose work was particularly welcome in the countries of post-colonial South. The exhibition presents selected designs and projects of Polish specialists working on contracts organized by Polish foreign trade organizations in Iraque, Syria, Libya, Algeria, Ghana, and Nigeria – countries, which had just regained independence and which sought allies among socialist states.
