Excursions and workshops
The house of Zofia and Oskar Hansen in Szumin will be open to the public again this spring. A relatively small house, supported by the Museum of Modern Art, is a spatial manifestation of “Forma Otwarta” – a theory that formed the basis of Hansen’s architectonic actions, as well as his artistic and didactic world.
This space can be explored during the cycles of tours and workshops organized in the Hansens’ garden. The number of participants is limited. Application details available below.
Excursions
Because of the space limitations a registration procedure must be followed, using the application form that will be available at the Museum’s site one week before the event. Maximum number of participants is 18, the registration will be handled on a first-come-first-service basis. The underage participants must come with care-takers. We leave Warsaw at 10 am and come back around 5 pm. Admission free.
Dates
May 16th (Saturday), the application form will open on May 9th at 10.00 am.
June 14th (Saturday), the application form will open on June 6th at 10.00 am.
June 27th (Saturday), the application form will open on June 20th at 10.00 am.
July 4th (Saturday), the application form will open on June 27th at 10.00 am.
July 18th (Saturday), the application form will open on July 11th at 10.00 am.
September 12th (Saturday), the application form will open on August 29th at 10.00 am.
Family workshops
During the family workshops in the garden of Szuminy the youngest public will have the opportunity to try out some games and competitions invented by the architects and the artists in order to train the perception skills and broaden the sensuous sensitivity. The workshops are inspired by the methods of Oskar Hansen, Bruno Munari i Lygiz Clark and were prepared by the Museum’s educational team. They are designed for children between 6 and 12 years old together with their care-takers. We will take off from Warsaw at 10 am and come back around 5 pm.
Please register through the application form. Seats are limited and the applicants will be handled on a first-come-first-service basis.
Workshop dates
April18th (Saturday) - Oskar Hansen, the application form will be launched on the 11th April, 10 am.
May 31st (Saturday) - Bruno Munari, the application form will be launched on the 23rd April, 10 am.
12 września (Saturday)- Lygia Clark, the application form will be launched on the 5th May, 10 am.
