Tourist

Most Władysław Hasior's photographic notes were created during his travel across Poland and abroad - undoubtedly, the artist belongs to a group of most often presented ones during the times of the People’s Republic of Poland. Hasior made his first journey, crowned not yet with photographs but with a diary and sketchbook, on a motorcycle, just after graduation, to France, via Europe, in the late 50s and beginning of the 60s. The artist's walks around Vienna, Kraków or Zakopane - where he spend the majority of his life - were collected in a tourist set. Places with personal memories and tourist highlights. A "Notatnik" ["Notebook"], entitled "Sofia Marzena", seems to be the most interesting and most personal one - the only one in the set dedicated to a particular person, Marzanna Raińska, costume designer, met in Zakopane at film sets, who accompanied Hasior in his travel across Europe in the late 80s and beginning of the 90s.

The set includes "Notatniki" ["Notebooks"]: "Wiedeń" ["Vienna"] (147), "Leningrad sobór" ["Leningrad - Orthodox Cathedral"] (148), "Ermitaż" ["Hermitage (Museum)"] (153), "Freski w Smoleńsku" ["Frescos in Smolensk"] (152), "Sofia Marzena" (329), "Zakopane" (331), "Miasta nawodne" ["Cities on the Water"] (116), "Turystyczne" ["Tourist"] (117), "Kraków Wawel" (119), "Kraków" (120), "Skarbiec Wawelskiej Katedry" ["Wawel Cathedral Treasury"] (121), "Wnętrza Wawelskie" ["Wawel Interiors"] (123), "Arrasy" ["Arrases"] (124), "Skarbiec" ["Treasury"] (125).
