Crosses (1-50/272)

Chapels, crosses or welcome signs are visual elements of culture, significant in the Polish landscape, which particularly caught Władysław Hasior's attention. Observing how a horizon of the landscape - half and half organised on an amateurish and clerical basis - was used by people served his art. This chapter groups a motif of the cross which seems to be of concern to the artist, e.g. due to repeatability of the same element, building a dramatic effect of space.

The set includes "Notatniki" ["Notebooks"]: "Krzyże" ["Crosses"] (252), "Krzyże cmentarne 2" ["Cemetery Crosses 2"] (059) and "Krzyże cmentarne 2" ["Cemetery Crosses 2"] (060).
