Untitled Film Stills, 2006 (1-50/70)
Precision Warsaw remake of the classic series „Untitled Film Stills” by Cindy Sherman from 1970-s starring Aneta Grzeszykowska. Unlike the original photographic performance, Grzeszykowska’s photos are color, at the same time, thoroughly repeating composition and character of the prototypes. In their turn, properties, clothes and the scenery were chosen by the artist according to modern and local possibilities. Staging of all 70 photos took one year. The role game has achieved its peak height here – depriving herself from her own identity again, Aneta Grzeszykowska returns it to Cindy Sherman, at the same time, imitating the American artist and video impersonations created by her.
