Description by Filmoteka Muzeum

This four-day collective act involving artists, filmmakers and musicians at a TV studio in Warsaw was a culmination of sorts of team actions that Przemysław Kwiek, Zofia Kulik and Jan S. Wojciechowski had organised to date. As the event aimed at establishing an interdisciplinary and improvised collaboration, a kind of ‘visual free-jazz concert’, there was no prepared score or script and the only available props to be used were those gathered from the TV studio. During the first day, artists spontaneously self-organised in a game reacting to and commenting on each others’ realizations, gestures or moves. On the following days, the organisers prepared various situations, e.g. posts like ‘sound’, ‘image’ or ‘word’. At some point, Kwiek and Kulik scattered books all over the studio and the camera recorded the other participants’ reaction.

Participants: Przemysław Kwiek, Zofia Kulik, Jan S. Wojciechowski, filmmakers Paweł Kwiek and Jacek Łomnicki, painter-actionist Krzysztof Zarębski, poet Jacek Dobrowolski, and musicians Milo Kurtis, Jacek Malicki, Andrzej Kasprzyk (the band Grupa w składzie).
Realization of the 16 mm film: Beata Tomorowicz.
