City Markings of Erased History – Tel Aviv-Yafo
Walk in Muranów with Noa Reshef
The tour will go through the streets of Warsaw, tracking signs and indications of the hidden layers behind the pavement and façades. Basing this peculiar exploration on a similar part of a Tel Aviv street map, we have a good chance of discovering unexpected objects, lost ideas or stories that have been confined to the local geography.
Noa Reshef is performance and video artist, and a costume designer. Graduate of the school of visual theatre, Jerusalem. In her work, Noa applies a diverse range of skills, from directing and choreography, performance and costume design to writing and video creation, however her main medium is the live performance. Her live work and videos were presented internationally in festivals like Préavis de désordre Urbain (Marseille), EPAF (Warsaw), Kunstfest festival (Weimar), Dance Triennale (Tokio), Red Dawns (Ljublijana) among others. One of Noa's main current project is “Fake meetings” – a project that consists on personal services exchange. As part of it, in an artist residency in Bucharest during the last summer, she developed a line of “fake tours” – tours that took place in locations in Bucharest, but told stories and memories from other places. During the last year Noa leads guiding tours for CTLV – a company that offer an alternative view on urban life in south Tel Aviv.
