"Ziegenort"
A projection as part of "The Museum Enters The Square" series

A boy in his teens painfully experiences the dilemmas of adolescence; in quest for own identity he needs to cope with rejection.

It is all particularly hard for him, since he is different from all the others: half-boy, half-fish. In the meantime his father is trying to prepare him for the life of a fisherman... A simple but expressive range of colours reflects the contrast between a quiet, traditional fishing village and emotional pains of the main character.

Tomasz Popakuls’ movie has been shown, among others, during film festivals in Oberhausen and Rotterdam. In 2013 it was awarded Best Polish Animation prize at the New Horizons Festival in Wrocław.
