On May 13th the cult Detroit post-industrial band Wolf Eyes will play their first show in Warsaw.

Coming from the DIY tradition, the band quickly became the most important phenomenon on the local scene since the appearance of techno music in the 1980s, while also being one of the world's most intriguing projects of the last decade. Its members were titled “kings of US noise”, following in the footsteps of legends such as Swans, Einstürzende Neubauten and Misfits, and called the creators of the most recognizable avant-garde noise-rock sound of the 21st century.

Their show will be preceded by a solo performance by Anna Zaradny, who will premiere a piece from her upcoming album, to be released on May 13th, and followed by a DJ set prepared by Jacek Sienkiewicz in cooperation with numerous visual artists whose works will be included in the Museum's collection.

Wolf Eyes

After playing shows with Sonic Youth and Andrew W.K. Wolf Eyes reached a popularity level achieved by few such radical bands, and they kept following their own path. They emerged from a project by ex-Nautical Almanac member Nate Young, who was soon joined by Aaron Dilloway (in 1998) and John Olson (in 200), later on by Mike Connelly and currently Crazy Jim. In the relatively short time they have been active they released over 150 tracks with record companies such as Bulb Records, Troubleman Unlimited, Fusetron and Sub Pop, as well as under their own labels: Olson's American Tapes, Dilloway’s Hanson Records, Mike Connelly's Gods of Tundra and Nate Young's AA Records. Their new album titled “I Am a Problem: Mind in Pieces” was released by Jack White's Third Man Records.
