Szumin
Open day at the home of Zofia and Oskar Hansen

  • Szumin

The House of Zofia and Oskar Hansen in Szumin is opening its doors to the public again this spring.

The House, a medium-sized structure currently under the conservatorship of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, is a functional manifesto of the Open Form in three dimensions. The Open Form is a theory that permeated Hansen’s work – across architecture, art and teaching.

The season 2019 in Szumin is devoted to the study of the mezo scale, in which Oscar and Zofia Hansen saw the opportunity to establish relations with the immediate surroundings: their neighbors, the countryside, and the surrounding nature.

During the open day, guided tours around the house will take place every two hours: at 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM. Due to the small area of the house and conservator restrictions, it is necessary to pre-book the place via the form on the Museum website and purchase the ticket.

Please, note that the Museum does not provide transportation to Szumin.

When booking a place via the form, one person can include up to five people in their reservation, but only type of transportation. Full contact details (phone number and e-mail address) are required.

Entries are valid through the form below. In the "additional information" field, choose one of the three tours that start at 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM. These are the times when you declare to be on-site in Szumin. Please, indicate the number of people in the same field.

Details about entries and tours are available in the Trip Rules tab.

By signing up and taking part in the trip, you accept the Regulations for Visiting the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Regulations define detailed rules for booking and purchasing tickets.
