Public meeting with Antonija Livingstone
Kem Care invites to a public meeting with Canadian choreographer and dancer Antonija Livingstone, which will be a culmination of athe artist-led Male Breast Feeding workshop.
Antonija Livingstone is based in Berlin and works mostly in France at the threshold of performance and dance. Livingstone grew up in the a family of geologists in itinerant gold mining camps and remote communities in British Columbia and Yukon, Canada, and continues to include the transit of urban-rural experiences in her artistic research. She is the beneficiary of a self-directed non-institutional education in Performance Studies and Choreography.
She has worked extensively as a performer with Benoit Lachambre and with Meg Stuart / Damaged Goods and is a member of Supernova Interdisciplinary Ensemble at HAU Berlin 2018. Her body of work to date consists of a solo performance, The Part, and a decade of duets and co-signed intimate feminist ensemble works for theatre, video and installation. Notably: a situation for dancing (in 4 episodes) with Heather Kravas, Cat Calendar with Antonia Baehr; On Orientations and Insignificant Others, with Ian Kaler; Supernatural with Simone Aughterlony and Hahn Rowe; Culture Administration & Trembling with Jennifer Lacey, Stephen Thompson, Dominique Petrin; and her most recent co-creation with visual artist/scenographer Nadia Lauro les Études (hérésies 1-7).
She has coached performance practice at CCN Montpellier, Impulstanz, Vienna, DOCH Stockholm, National Landscape Architecture School Versailles, France, amongst other European arts education situations. Antonija Livingstone is an associate artist at Menagerie de Verre, Paris and artist in residence at Darling Foundry Montréal 2018.
