EARTH MOVEMENTS, OR, WHY ARE SIDEWALKS IN BRÓDNO CRUMBLING?
A geological drift with Katarzyna Przezwańska
The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw is pleased to announce a meeting with Katarzyna Przezwańska.
In the summer of 2010, the artist produced a number of painting interventions at the Bródno Park that took advantage of its extant infrastructure: sidewalk cracks, concrete paths, paving gaps, as well as flowerpots, water reservoirs, and benches.
A walk with the artist will be an opportunity to become acquainted with the results of her recent research at the Earth Museum, the State Geological Institute’s Geological Museum, and the Stanisław J. Thugutt Geological Museum, all in Warsaw. Przezwańska will look at the Bródno Park from a geological perspective, taking into account the history, counted in millions of years, of the place itself and its flora and fauna.
The walk begins at the teahouse.
