The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the Museum of Warsaw invite to a lecture by Hadas Kedar as part of 7th Warsaw Under Construction festival.

Arad, one of the most radical planned cities in the history of Israel that was established in the the arid south in the mid- 20th century, attracted a group of innovative thinkers and designers of the era. Small scale Brutalist architecture; commons' spaces; urban planning in the desert; community-funded public art; urban life-style in a natural environment; Brutalist playgrounds; multi cultural city (Beduin, Russian, Ethiopian, Chasidim) – all these have, with the years, turned Arad into a living chronicle of an evolution of a mid-century architectural vision and its manifestation in the 21st century. Arad Art and Architecture Residency is located at the highest point of the city of Arad, looks upon the Judean desert. The small city is located in the south-east of the Negev desert, an hour and a half from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, a half hour away drive from the Dead Sea and an hour from Ein Gedi.
