What can art be made of?

We are attached to the notion that a work of art most often comes in a certain materialized form. This materiality can be composed of various substances. Nothing is obvious and non-usable. A paint is sometimes not enough even for a painter. Natural and artificial materials, earth, litter or even organic waste bear the potential to become an element of communication.

We will analyze materiality of selected works from both current exhibitions of the Museum of Modern Art. We will also try to make creative use of various non-obvious materials.
