  • Summer in the City

The Museum would like to invite kindergartens, primary schools, lower secondary and upper secondary schools to benefit from the rich educational programme that accompanies current exhibitions.

This year’s “Summer in the City” edition offers a museum game for the youngest, interactive guided tours and workshops for children (kindergartens and primary schools), museum classes (for lower and upper secondary schools) and series of workshops for lower and upper secondary learners.

As usual, the offer is entirely free; registration is necessary.

The youngest kids will carry out a museum investigation and learn whether art needs to be fine or not; then they’ll have to guess what is hidden behind a work of art; older children will have a chance to get acquainted with various facets of contemporary art and learn what artists tell us about the surrounding world; the oldest participants will discover art as a historical source and a peripheral narrative.

The exhibition entitled "As You Can See. Polish Art Today" is a presentation of contemporary Polish art, a selection of significant works, attitudes and topics addressed by visual artists in recent years. The exhibition is supposed to be a guide to facilitate understanding and systematization of current artistic phenomena. (open: 14.02.2014 – 31.08.2014).

On the other hand, "In the Near Future. The Collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Edition 2014” is the freshest presentation of the collection, mainly focusing on social and cultural changes resulting from the discourse of emancipation. The exhibition will include works that address the issue of equality, liberation and blurring numerous boundaries. (open: 14.02.2014 – 31.08.2014).
