How to design a glowing hedgehog? WARSAW UNDER CONSTRUCTION 4
Neon "Jeż", projekt Magdaleny Byczyńskiej
In 2009, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw acquired the archives of the Reklama company.
The contents of the archives – designs for advertisements, neon signs and visual info signs for Warsaw – will be on display during the “City for Sale” exhibition. Many of the pieces were the work of Magdalena Byczyńska, a designer active in the late 1960’s, who will talk about the process of and circumstances behind the creation of some of Warsaw’s most recognisable neon signs and their role in city space.
