Border. Conflict. Body
An experimental cross-generational activity
Are you up to date with the international news? Are you intrigued by contemporary art? Do you like asking questions, dwelling on a subject and searching for answers? Come and participate in a collective, creative activity around the “Lest The Two Seas Meet” exhibition.
The exhibition revolves around the current, socially important issues related to the present political conflicts, the way media work, the tension between the individuals and power. We will work with some of the selected works to find out to what extent an interpretation can become a reason for discussion, how it can influence the way in which we perceive reality or the way we think not only about modern art, but also about the daily issues and social processes commented by the artists.
The workshops are designed for the participants aged from 16 to 65. Admission free, space is limited and the applicants will be handled on a first-come-first-service basis.
The activity is a continuation of the cooperation between the Museum of Modern Art and the Association of Creative Initiatives "ę" initiated as part of the "Archipelago Of Generations" (archipelagpokolen.pl). For the preparation of workshops, the organizers have used the materials from the “Wizualny Eksperyment Muzealny” project, carried out by the association “Stowarzyszenie Katedra Kultury” (wizualnyeksperymentmuzealny.wordpress.com).
