Inflatable Barricade with Tools for Action
Presentation, Workshop, and Action Training with Artúr van Balen of Tools for Action: April 15, 16, 17
Tools for Action is an art and design collective that develops inflatable tools as a tactic for civil disobedience.
During the presentation, Artúr will explain the theory and history of the inflatable medium: What is the historical relationship between pneumatics and protest? Why are these tools such an excellent tool for political action? In the do-it-yourself-workshop he will show how it is possible to make inflatable barricades from simple household materials, using only double-stick carpet tape and insulation foil. On the Sunday, the inflatables will be put into action, with choreographed military formations practiced with the barricade.
