Coinciding with the exhibition „Private Settings. Art after the Internet“ we invite you to the last run devised by DIS, which will take place „under the tutelage“ of philospher and political activist Noam Chomsky.

DIS is one of the most prominent and progressive artistic collectives working in the post-internet field. In their interdisciplinary projects like the cult DIS Magazine, their innovative fashion shoots and their original stock photography database, the group explores alternative visual language. DIS often exploits advertising aesthetics and corporate design, subjecting them to subversive and humorous interpretations.

Featuring in their new video commission are runners wearing a specialty line of sports apparel designed by DIS – Great Thinkers Fit. The clothing is adorned with the faces of “fashionable” leftist philosophers (Slavoj Žižek, Bell Hooks and Noam Chomsky) whose portraits played a key role in the design of the pieces. DIS reinterprets branding and marketing strategy not only with respect to material objects but also to human identity, simultaneously posing questions regarding our contemporary aspirations connected with the cult of the body and the consumption of ideas.

A monthly cycle of performative runs as a play on the convention of night-time mass runs. Runners outfitted in Thinkspiration apparel will take to Warsaw’s streets under the cover of night, running along unusual routes determined by DIS.  The last run will occur at Intercontinental Hotel up to its 43 floors

We welcome athletes and individuals in an overall good health.

The application form will be available here a week before the event.
