The evening dedicated to the memory of Bohdan Mazurek – an outstanding composer and sound engineer affiliated with the Polish Radio Experimental Studio, who died this year on 21st of May.

After a short introduction by the curator and musical critic Antoni Beksiak, two Mazurek’s quadraphonic musical pieces – Episodes and Daisy Story – will be presented.

Towards the end, we will play four short pieces based on samples from Mazurek's Pennsylvania Dreams, prepared by Helge Sten (a.k.a. Deathprod), a Norwegian musician and producer. These pieces will find their way onto Sten’s record to be released in autumn by Bôłt Records. The record will contain reinterpretations of musical pieces created at the Polish Radio Experimental Studio.

Antoni Beksiak, curator of "Turning Sounds," "Gębofon" and "Ad Libitum;" musical critic, author. He focuses on classical, jazz, pop and ethnic music. Author of analyses, radio broadcasts (in Polish Radio II and the former Rozgłośnia Harcerska), formerly a section editor at “Ruch Muzyczny.” He has been devoting himself more and more to extended vocal techniques; he has been responsible for the digitalization of mazurka rhythms at Niewte. He acts in Marta Górnicka's play entitled Requiemmaszyna. Born in 1972; continues to live in Warsaw.
