On November 17 Museo Reina Sofia (Palacio de Velázquez) opened an extended Madrid edition of an exhibition of Andrzej Wróblewski's works, previously presented at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw in the first half of 2015.

“Andrzej Wróblewski: Recto / verso” is the first extensive presentation of the Polish artist's work outside of his home country. This time again the narration of the exhibition is based on Andrzej Wróblewski's two-sided works, one of the main motifs being the relation between socialist realist figuration and abstraction.

The exhibition was prepared, as in the case of its Polish edition, in cooperation with the Andrzej Wróblewski Foundation and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. It is curated again by Marta Dziewańska and Eric de Chassey. The exhibition organized in Warsaw proved extremely popular, gathering 55 thousand visitors.

The exhibition will run until February 28, 2016. For more information, visit the Museo Reina Sofia website.
