Piotr Majdrowicz
Piotr Majdrowicz belongs to the group of the most radical Polish filmmakers active during the communist period. In his movies from the mid-1970s, he tried to deal with the homoerotic, proving that the sphere of sexuality was hidden or marginalized in those times. Majdrowicz’s movies can also be viewed as modest equivalents of the Western avant-garde cinema, which dealt with gender and sexuality openly.
