Akram Zaatari (born 1966)
Akram Zaatari is a film-maker, photographer, photographic archive researcher, and exhibition curator. He also set up the Arab Image Foundation – an archive of photographs by amateurs and professional studios from the Middle East. The artist is often associated with “reviving” archives, and with work involving found photographic material.
