Runner – in the form of an S-VHS film and a performance (Bremen, 1993) – features the body of a runner in constant movement in different places and time. Using a purpose-designed device to keep the frame steady, Piotr Wyrzykowski combined the recordings whose only common element is the body of the runner. The recorded material then underwent visual and temporal compression.
