Alexander Pawlik's Photon is a video installation comprising the found footage film presented here. Assembled from 16 mm tapes with educational films from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, it is a nostalgic story of modernity, which inclined people to believe that an objective truth about the world is indeed possible to grasp. Featured here as a red dot, the eponymous photon – considered by Einstein to be the common element of all things – travels the world from the micro (inside the human body) to the macro scale (the cosmic space) in its 'brief history of everything' The film received a mention at the 8th Samsung Art Master competition.
