The artist provokes here an immediate confrontation with the forces of chance. He creates an ultra-sterile and formally austere, nearly abstract composition against the backdrop of a white wall. The film Things lends itself to interpretation in the teleological spirit – Igor Krenz seems to develop a more profound reflections on the nature of forces that affect human beings, the consequences of chance or the purposefulness of the activities undertaken by a human being (an artist) in pursuit of maintaining the entire “composition” as w whole. At the Museum of Art in Łódź, the film concludes one of the sections of the collection display as a perverse illustration of the activity of art curators and critics.
