Impressions from my 1999 solo journey through Mongolia in search of, what my photography teacher described to me as, the most beautiful men on Earth. I hired a driver to follow no particular path, just take me through his country so I can see and find for myself. We traveled in an old jeep for over a month, always at the edge of some disaster, being lost, incomprehensibility, confusion and boredom. I recorded little during the time, and brought back less than 13 minutes of glimpses of the nomadic life, longing for history, for connection. Sound design by Tim Partridge.
