Mikołaj Długosz re-enacts Claude Lelouch’s mad ride through Paris boulevards from his film C’était un rendez-vous from 1976. Here, a motorcyclist roams the streets of Warsaw at an incredible speed. Showing the Polish capital from his perspective, the artist creates a portrait of the city that will probably reveal its archival value in the future. Długosz signs the video as “found footage;” the strategy of using existing visual material is a characteristic feature of many projects by the artist.
