The animation How Art Works by Tymek Borowski and Paweł Sysiak confronts the question of the way art functions. The work bears formal reference to short online video manuals, which strive to catch and hold the viewer’s attention with their short and attractive form. Explaining the mechanisms that regulate the functioning of contemporary art, the rules of the market game and the position of the artist, Borowski and Sysiak pursue reflection on their own position and formulate a critique of their environment.
