VIII Syncretic Show "Sensitization to Colour", odNOWA Gallery in Poznań, 1968 (1-50/59)

The setting consisted of scattered "threadoids" and crumpled newspapers which lay across the floor. In a short expose the artist declared that he was about to test his sensitivity to colour - a trait of utmost importance for every painter. He then approached his photograph and using an electric drill punctured holes in the pupils of the image. It was accompanied by an audio recording of a shrill scream that gave way to march music towards the end of the performance. The act was repeated in each of the gallery's three halls. The very moment the drill pierced the stiff material that served as a supprt for the photograph, the eyes of the depicted figure beamed with light of a different colour in each room.
